Weekly Post: Easter Dessert Ideas!🍰💐

Hello, you all! Since Easter is just right around the corner, I figured that it would be a great idea to share some Easter dessert ideas! I haven’t done a baking post in a while so I hope you enjoy!

  1. Pastel Push Pops!

These are one of my favorites! This dessert is a bit time consuming but, I promise you that it is adorable and so delicious! These are really awesome because you can change and mix and match the colors that you use for your cake and buttercream. If you want you can add a filling like lemon curd or caramel. You can buy the actual push pop case from Amazon. For the cake, you make your favorite cake recipe and spread it out onto a higher sheet pan. Then, when it’s done baking, you take a circle cookie cutter (about the same size as the circumference of the push pop container) and cut circles out. After you layer the cake, buttercream, and filling. And there you have it!

2.  Naked Pastel Cakes!

These are another adorable dessert! These are pretty similar to the push pops, except they are not in a container and much bigger. My favorite combination of colors are to do an ombre in one color. So you make your favorite vanilla or yellow cake (use the cake recipe in the link provided) and split it into three bowls. Then, you add a little bit of coloring into the first one and a little more in the second one and the most in the third one. Then you cake it in a thicker cake pan. Next, you cut out bigger circles for your cakes. (You can pick how big you wanna make it.) Next, take your buttercream and layer it in between the layers in a nice pattern. That’s it! You don’t cover the sides like a normal cake.

3.   Vegan-Lemon Cake

How ironic would it be to make a dessert for Easter with no egg! This dessert is great for people who can’t eat eggs or milk. I got this recipe from Duff Goldman’s “Duff Bakes” cookbook. This cake is so delicious and super light and fluffy. My favorite way to decorate this cake is to make a naked cake. This is basically a cake with a thin layer of buttercream showing on the outside. A fun way is to do a two tier cake and then add on edible flowers, which you can purchase at Whole Foods.

this is the cake that I made!

Thank you so much for reading my post about my favorite Easter Dessert Ideas! See you next week!❤️
